It's FRIDAY! Hallelujah! Collin is home from a business trip tonight, we're having a pajama day and the only thing on our agenda is a drive-thru at Starbucks. It's going to be a good one, friends!
A few of my favorites, coming in hot!
1. Can we just talk about the olympics for a second? Family friendly, happy & positive primetime TV? I'll be nothing when they're over. I love the olympics - I love the questions the kids ask (Baylor re: the bobsled event -- "what happened to their ears!?", I love the conversation they create - about being the best, working hard to great and having ENDURANCE. SO many important life lessons. Turn them on and watch your kids amazement.
3. Loving these pajamas from JCREW for the kids - and loving the price even more!
4. I had a friend suggest this podcast to me and it has really shifted some of my negative thought patterns in terms of anxiety. LEAN INTO JOY instead of DRESS REHEARSING TRAGEDY. It's powerful and has the potential to change you! (Thanks Lauren!)
5. I'm working on organizing the laundry room (because 6 people is A LOT OF THINGS) and one of my biggest nemesis was laundry in the hall - pajamas, dirty clothes pre-bath, and random towels, ect. I need clean to function and all this mess isn't cutting it! SO, I bought one of these babies and you better believe it gets wheeled all over the upstairs. BEST PURCHASE EVER!
PS... It's easy to get roped in to the every day shennanigans of life, but practicing gratitude has been high on my list this year, and the more you assess your inventory of gratitude, the more grateful you feel. I woke up SO grateful this week to be able to do the mundane things with my babies, like errands and breakfast dates, school drop offs and cupcake baking. These are the moments I dreamt of as a young girl who SO desperately wanted to be a mom - and here I am, living out my dream. Grateful. What are you grateful for today?
