37 Week Update

37 Week Update

Happy Monday! We had quite the weekend with one very sick little one, so we had a steady routine of gatorade, ibuprofen and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Someone break us free!

I'm officially full term (37 weeks!) so I thought I'd share what might be my final pregnancy update (OMG!).

I'm still feeling really great - I've gained almost 50 lbs and am feeling that every step of the way. That's hands down been my biggest discomfort at this point - because no matter who you are, how big or small, tall or short, you just feel 50 lbs of weight on your body. SO... I'm anxious to start working that off and feeling like myself again. Otherwise, my body, bones & muscles feel really strong, something I can totally attribute to keeping up with 3 other kids and working out consistently through my pregnancy.

Baby moves all day long and the kids totally think there's an alien in my body. Winnie is certain that the baby is coming out of my bellybutton and spends her down time trying to see through said bellybutton, for what she thinks is a peep hole.

I'm completely past the point of my maternity clothes even fitting, which makes getting dressed every day 1. Completely boring (because there are like 3 things that fit) and 2. Hilarious to my kids. I put Collin's basketball shorts on the other day after we got home from running errands, and Bellamy basically acted like I was wearing a paper bag around my waste. Between her giggles, she let me know "dose are not for mommies - you look like a weally BIG boy!" :) Always good for a vote of confidence, these kids. She also asked me why mommies have such big booties - notice "mommies", not just me specifically ... Maybe she was #askingforafriend ;)

I've started packing bags for everyone (why is this so much work?) and am going to share what's in mine next week. I'm a total minimalist when it comes to packing diaper bags, hospital bags and pretty much anything that isn't vacation, so you won't find the fool-proof extensive list, but I'll be sure to have the basics covered! We are actually going to be doing our newborn photos at the hospital, to document the first time the kids meet their newest sibling, and I'm SO excited about it. Picturing their little faces when they see their baby for the first time really kicks those hormones in to high gear ;) However, it does add a new element to packing everyone for the big day - i.e. we can't just look like homeless people.

Happy Monday!
