Festive Bites for Halloween

Festive Bites for Halloween

We're no strangers to being festive around here, and (thanks to our friends over at RePlay), we're making lunch time a little bit spookier :) Here's 4 ideas that will totally earn you cool mom status (if you don't already have it ;)

JACK-O-LANTERN QUESADILLA: We bought some mini "street-taco" tortillas, cut out jack-o-lantern faces in the top tortilla, add cheese and broil for 3-4 minutes. Top with an avocado stem!

FRANKENSTEIN AVOCADO TOAST: Our kids love avocado toast so these were a total crowd pleaser. Use your favorite artisan bread, cut into a rectangle, spread your avo, use a balsamic glaze for hair (this is our fav) and grated parmesan cheese for the mouth. We used candy eyes, but you could also use tomatoes, black olives or just more balsamic!

APPLE VAMPIRES: Apples, peanut butter, and marshmallows ... can you go wrong? We have a peanut allergy in our house, so we swapped one out with jam instead - which quickly became the new favorite!

TURKEY & CHEESE MUMMY WRAPS: We often roll turkey & cream cheese up together for a quick, protein packed lunch. Today, we did our traditional turkey rolls but wrapped them up with cheese strings and added some candy eyes for a quick & easy take on mummies!
